Carolyn McConnell is a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor and Associate Professional Counselor who has a passion in working with people through their family building journeys.   

Education and Work

Carolyn has a passion for learning and expanding her ability to further help her clients.  She is a practitioner of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, where she helps clients cope with the challenges of their experiences while also helping them to live their lives more fully.  She approaches each client with an open mind, seeking to better understand each person’s life experiences. 

Carolyn has extensive training in both individual and couples therapy, realizing that the family building process can impact both partners in their own unique ways.  She has also focuses on the grief involved in the infertility experience and allows clients to better explore their grief in session.  

 

Carolyn received her Bachelor’s degree from Emory University in 2006.  After many years working in the nonprofit sector, Carolyn wished to further her impact in the health and human services field by switching careers and becoming a professional counselor.  Carolyn received her Master’s in Science from Georgia State University, where she graduated from the Clinical Rehabilitation Program.
